The Heart Behind Peaches’ Promise

Allison hudock

I am a longtime cat mom and resident of Ocean County, dedicated to providing compassionate care for my feline companions. In 2023, my cherished cat Peaches was diagnosed with gastrointestinal lymphoma. In her remaining four months, I provided "on the fly" hospice care as a solo caretaker with limited support, facing numerous emotional and practical challenges. Peaches' passing deeply impacted me, and in honoring her, I strive to help other families navigate the hospice journey for their pets. I want to ensure that no one has to face these challenges alone as we did. I am a member of the International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care (IAAHPC) and have furthered my knowledge by completing Animal Hospice Group's (AHG) Level 1 Foundations as part of an animal hospice and palliative care practitioner program.

The Heart Behind Our Mission

Peaches’ Promise is a compassionate ally in a companion animal’s end-of-life journey, through caregiver support, education and advocacy.

Her Legacy

After losing our beloved cat, Peaches, we realized that the journey of caring for a sick pet was not just about the animal, but about the family. We saw how the lack of guidance and resources could turn a loving experience into an overwhelming burden.

Our Promise

Today, Peaches’ Promise exists so no pet owner has to face that journey alone. We provide the compassionate guidance, resource navigation, and emotional support that Peaches herself could not give us during her final days.
